Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Blood Bank
$34 - $48.13 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for blood bank operations at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality specimen testing on night shifts with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures per protocols
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Make technical decisions regarding testing, problem-solving, and reagent/control evaluation
- Document preventative maintenance, quality control, and report accurate timely test results
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- One year or more clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Physical capability to meet job demands; flexibility for overtime
Compensation: $34.00 - $48.13 per hour plus shift differential
