Machine Operator (Brake Press)Location: 47th Ave & Roosevelt – Phoenix, AZPay: Starting at $19.00+/hourAvailable Shifts: 2nd ShiftPosition SummaryWe are seeking a dependable Brake Press Operator to set up and operate brake press machinery to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to blueprints and production specifications. The ideal candidate has experience reading technical drawings, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate brake press machines to bend and form metal parts.Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.Select the appropriate tooling and machine settings for each job.Measure finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues.Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.Meet daily production and quality goals.Required QualificationsPrevious brake press or metal fabrication experience preferred.Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers and tape measures.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, bend, and work throughout the shift.Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.Preferred QualificationsCNC brake press experience.Manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience.Forklift experience (preferred but not required).Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
