CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled and self driven CNC Machinist to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC equipment to manufacture high-precision components. salary: $49,920 - $58,240 per year

Responsibilities

• Setup & Operations: Perform complete setups, prove out programs, set work/tool offsets, and operate 3/4-axis CNC mills or lathes independently.

• Quality Control: Inspect first-piece and in-process components using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges) 

• Program Editing: Read and edit G-code/M-code directly at the machine control panel to optimize cycle times and prevent tool interference.

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.

• Process Optimization: Select optimal tooling, inserts, speeds, and feeds tailored to specific materials (aluminum, stainless steel, alloy steels, and plastics).

• Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine preventive machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 30lbs
• standing for 10 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
