A day in this role

You arrive to a clean, well-equipped cell, load a complex part, and bring a Mazak 5-axis mill to life. You read the print, program in Mazatrol and G-Code, verify your tool offsets, run a first-article, and hold the tolerance on the very first pass. Throughout the shift, you fine-tune feeds and speeds, switch between materials, and document each step for repeatability and traceability. Your craftsmanship keeps production flowing and quality uncompromised.

What you’ll do

• Program and set up Mazak CNC 5-axis mills directly from blueprints, specifications, and written instructions.
• Operate and maintain CNC milling equipment to produce precision components that meet tight tolerances.
• Apply Mazatrol and G-Code; familiarity with Mastercam is a plus.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision metrology to verify conformance.
• Work confidently across multiple materials while maintaining process control and consistency.
• Complete clear, accurate documentation for setups, in-process checks, and final inspections.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve productivity, share data, and support a positive, cooperative environment.

What you’ll bring

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Mazak CNC 5-axis milling.
• Proven ability to read/interpret blueprints and written instructions, then translate them into efficient programs and setups.
• Demonstrated success holding tight tolerances on complex work.
• Experience machining a variety of materials.
• Comfort with precision measuring tools, including micrometers and bore gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, accountability, and data-driven approach.
