Associate Attorney - Corporate

Job Description Job Description Direct Counsel represents a respected law firm in Pasadena, CA who is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in general corporate and business law to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Partners and Senior Attorneys on a variety of sophisticated corporate matters. Hybrid schedule flexibility available on a case-by-case basis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing assignments independently, handling a steady workflow in a billable environment, and maintaining a strong attention to detail. Candidates should also have an interest in working with public agency clients, including cities, counties, water districts, and other governmental entities. Responsibilities Support Partners and Senior Attorneys on a broad range of corporate and business law matters Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other transactional documents Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, correspondence, and corporate filings Assist with entity formation, governance, compliance, and operational matters Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and agency representatives Manage deadlines and workload in a fast-paced legal environment Qualifications 3+ years of experience in corporate or general business law Active California Bar membership in good standing Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Interest in representing public agency clients is strongly preferred Ability to meet a 1,800+ annual billable hour requirement Salary Range: $120,000 – $145,000 annually, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities and additional incentive compensation.
