Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic

Help Included, but not limited to:

Ensure that operation, maintenance and repair of all mechanical aspects of building and facilities will be maintained.
Install, maintain, repair, and inspect all varieties of equipment.
Install, maintain and repair all water, high pressure steam, medical gas and vacuum systems, non-medical sterilization equipment, kitchen equipment, water based fire protection systems, domestic water chlorinating systems, water softeners and gas systems.
Inspect piping, valves, medical gas systems, control fittings, and auxiliary equipment of steam plant, gas-fired equipment and steam, gas and water distribution systems for defects.
Disassemble and repair damaged sections or fabricates replacements from stock.
Maintain all facility sewer systems and storm drain systems.
Install, modify, and repair new and existing high-pressure piping systems and equipment.
Work from building plans, blueprints, and sketches to lay out plan, placement and operation of various piping systems and equipment.

Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM or Sunday to Thursday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM or Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Note-Exact TOD for this position will be discussed during the interview and may be adjusted to meet the facility/dept needs.

Physical Requirements Selectee may frequently work in hot, humid, confined spaces around equipment and systems associated with facilities. Selectee must climb ladders, bend, crouch, stoop and endure prolonged periods of standing and walking. Selectee must lift parts and supplies weighing up to 40 lbs. Must be physically fit as work involves lifting, pulling, climbing, crawling, working with hands over head, working in confined areas, and using arm and back muscles. Selectee must possess ability to be on feet for long periods either standing, walking, working off ladder, or staging materials, and lifting equipment.
