About the Position

Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour, Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months in specialty applying for License: Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license in hand Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for - Active required certifications in hand at the time of submission - Reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for Description: We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN. This position has the potential to float to various units to care for the same patient population. There is a possibility of caring for patients on ventilators. The shift schedule may require rotations between night and day shifts. Staff will do their best to honor preferred shifts but may need to rotate based on operational needs. The candidate must be willing to work at least every other holiday. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. The candidate will receive a maximum of two attempts to pass these assessments. Any background checks, including license status, will be carefully reviewed. Compliance with nicotine requirements is mandatory, except for specified exemptions. Candidates are required to complete annual competency modules and may have billable hours for training. Continuous contract requirements should be considered for ongoing employment. Nurses and CSTs are exempt from nicotine-free requirements, which are temporarily in effect.
