About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 12 months of permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: 12 months of permanent experience in specialty applying for. Active required certifications in hand at time of submission. Reference from manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in specialty applying for. Description: Registered Nurse in Medical/Surgical Telemetry. Eligible to float to other units with the same patient population. Rotating shifts of 7pm to 7:30am and 7am to 7:30pm. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs. MUST HAVE 12 months of permanent experience in specialty. MUST HAVE permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand. Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Traveler will receive two attempts maximum to pass; otherwise, cancellation may occur. No acceptance of candidates with an open background case. Must be nicotine-free for most travelers, except for specific roles. Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start. Must complete BCI/FBI prints within 48 hours of signing the contract. Candidates may extend contracts for 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required.
