About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour and Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license required Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: - Minimum of 12 months of experience in Med/Surg/Tele nursing - Experience in chemotherapy administration preferred but not required - Float eligibility to specific units as needed - Ability to work required holidays Description: This position requires a Med/Surg/Tele nurse. The nurse will provide care to patients in various settings. Shifts may rotate between night and day. The facility reserves the right to adjust shifts as necessary based on operational needs. A background in oncology nursing is beneficial. Training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in chemotherapy administration. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will occur during orientation. Candidates must achieve acceptable scores on both assessments. Candidates with any background check issues will be reviewed but those with open cases will not be accepted. No license violations will be accepted for consideration. Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free requirements on a temporary basis. All other candidates must be nicotine-free and pass a drug screen. Candidates who have worked for the facility previously must observe a one-year wait period before reapplying. Failure to complete annual competency requirements will result in removal from the schedule. Additional training modules may be required as part of job orientation.
