Launchpad Program Manager - Center for Career Development The Launchpad Program at Boston University was established through a generous endowment to support students in exploring career options and developing career competencies early in their college experience through a wide range of experiential learning opportunities. The Launchpad Program Manager oversees the distribution of nearly $500,000 in awards to students annually, advises students on the application process, builds relationships with employers, monitors student progress, and supports their career education through these experiential learning opportunities. As a member of the Center for Career Developments (CCD) Internships and Industry Partnerships team, the Launchpad Program Manager reports to the Assistant Director for Internship Programs and is responsible for the day-to-day activities as well as the long-term strategy that guides the reach and impact of the program. Responsibilities Lead program development and strategic outreach with partners across the campus and externally, in collaboration with the CCD team. Manage the budget and award distribution process, including coordination of award decision-making and timely organization of student information. Design, deliver, and evaluate workshops and coaching programs for students. Monitor student progress, collect and analyze program data, write annual reports and updates for program constituents. Build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers, ensuring culturally competent and inclusive engagement. Participate in occasional evenings or weekends as required to support CCD activities and be available for remote work up to two days per week. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human services, social sciences, or other relevant fields; master’s degree preferred. At least 3–5 years of experience in career services, student affairs, education administration, or a similar field. Proven program-management experience, including budgeting, workshop design and delivery, student coaching, and award coordination. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to correspond accurately and sensitively regarding student awards and develop written materials, guidelines, and policies. Strong analytical skills, able to collect, analyze, and report on client and program data to inform decision making. Commitment to cultural competency, inclusion, equity, and engagement of all students, including those from marginalized communities. Highly collaborative and skilled at outreach, building relationships with diverse constituents. Comfortable learning and utilizing computer applications, systems, AI, and social media. Compensation Salary grade 47. Annual salary range $62,600.00 - $81,200.00. Final compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, and other factors.
