Senior Attorney / Non-Equity Partner – Professional Liability Defense
Location: New York, New York
Salary: $220,000 - $230,000/year
Lead Complex Professional Liability Defense Matters While Helping Shape a Growing PracticeIf you're a senior litigation attorney with extensive professional liability defense experience, this opportunity offers the autonomy to manage sophisticated cases, the platform to strengthen client relationships, and the opportunity to mentor junior attorneys while contributing to the continued growth of an established litigation practice.
You'll join a collaborative legal team that values experienced attorneys and supports long-term career growth through a flexible hybrid schedule, comprehensive benefits, an associate bonus program, mentorship initiatives, and a professional environment where leadership and excellence are recognized.
What You'll Do• Independently manage complex professional liability defense matters from inception through resolution
• Represent professionals and businesses in litigation and dispute resolution
• Develop litigation strategy and provide trusted legal counsel to clients
• Draft and argue pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
• Maintain and expand strong client relationships
• Collaborate with firm leadership on litigation strategy and practice development
• Mentor junior attorneys and support the continued growth of the litigation team
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active admission to both the New York and New Jersey Bars
• Senior Attorney or Partner-level experience
• Significant professional liability defense litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters and client relationships
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
