Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Division 8 Detailer / Project Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid role blends technical detailing work with hands-on project management responsibilities. You will be responsible for interpreting construction documents, preparing submittals, managing procurement, coordinating delivery schedules, and communicating with clients and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

· Review architectural drawings and specifications to produce accurate hardware schedules and door/frame submittals.

· Prepare and submit complete submittal packages for approval.

· Manage RFIs, change orders, and addenda throughout the design and construction phases.

· Order doors, frames, and hardware from manufacturers and track lead times.

· Coordinate delivery schedules and jobsite requirements with field teams and GC contacts.

· Maintain project budgets and track material and labor costs.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

· Ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, and ADA requirements.

Qualifications

· 2–5+ years of experience in commercial construction, architectural hardware, or Division 8 project coordination.

· Proficiency in reading construction drawings and specs.

· Familiarity with door/frame/hardware manufacturers and scheduling practices.

· Experience with ERP/order entry software (e.g., Comsense, Procore, or equivalent) is a plus.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency.

· Detail-driven and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of hardware sets and ANSI/BHMA standards.

· Experience with fire-rated, access control, and specialty hardware coordination.

· Ability to create hardware takeoffs and door/frame elevations.

· Previous experience in a smaller firm or hands-on role a plus.
