Community Educator Volunteer - Alzheimer’s Awareness & Brain Health

Do you enjoy public speaking and want to make a meaningful impact in your community?

The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking passionate volunteers to serve as Community Educators . Community Educators deliver educational presentations on Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and brain health to local groups, organizations, and community partners.

This role plays a vital part in raising awareness, promoting early detection, reducing stigma, and connecting families to critical resources.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1-hour educational programs (in-person or virtual)
• Represent the Alzheimer’s Association in the community
• Engage audiences with accurate, compassionate information
• Help expand access to brain health education

Ideal Candidates:

• Comfortable speaking to small and mid-sized groups
• Passionate about brain health and community education
• Background in healthcare, education, social work, ministry, or community service (preferred but not required)
• Reliable and mission-driven

Time Commitment:

Flexible. Most volunteers deliver 1–2 presentations per month, but not mandatory.

Presentations are often done at community centers, senior centers, churches, workplaces, assisted living facilities, and schools.
