Nontenure Faculty Pool - Department of World Languages & Literatures - Spanish Position Title: Nontenure Faculty Pool – Department of World Languages & Literatures – Spanish Job Posting Number: 2026016NTL Location: College of Liberal Arts, Department of World Languages and Literatures; positions may be at San Marcos, Round Rock campuses and/or taught online. Overview The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Texas State University seeks to develop a pool of educators with expertise in Spanish for temporary/nontenured faculty positions at the rank of lecturer. Responsibilities Teach one to four courses per semester, depending on student demand. Grant appointments are based on semester‑by‑semester demand. Subject to satisfactory annual performance evaluations and department funding and need. Teach at San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online. Required Qualifications Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in the specific area of instruction. Previous teaching experience.
