Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:30–08:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving all age ranges, including neonatal through adult populations
• Manage and assess patients presenting with diagnoses including chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory illness, and respiratory arrest
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Belmont rapid infuser in trauma, Giraffe warmer for neonates, rapid infuser, and Lucas device for cardiac arrests
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Adhere to patient ratios of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patient groups, within a 46-bed department averaging a daily census of 140
• Float within the Emergency Department specialty as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience; first-time travelers must have 5+ years of experience
• Travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers with 5+ years of ED experience will be considered)
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), NIH Stroke Scale, CPI (Calm Every Storm online version accepted), and TNCC

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or high-acuity setting
• Experience with trauma care and specialized emergency equipment such as rapid infusers and mechanical CPR devices
• Comfort with floating within specialty scope with no scheduling restrictions
