Medical Assistant - OBGYN

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support healthcare providers in patient examinations and treatments. Key Responsibilities Include Completing patient intake by verifying medical history and vital signs. Accurately documenting information in electronic medical records. Assisting providers during exams and procedures, performing point-of-care tests. Maintaining cleanliness and supplies in exam rooms, ensuring a safe environment. Following HIPAA guidelines and legal regulations. Supporting front desk duties such as check-in, scheduling, and answering calls when needed. Managing logs and medication checks, addressing voicemails and electronic inbox messages. Attending training sessions and maintaining professional relations with vendors. Qualifications Include High School Diploma or GED, with graduation from an accredited healthcare program (e.g., Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT). Relevant experience (1-3 years preferred) in family or pediatric care. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred, with current BLS certification. Strong computer skills and EMR experience preferred. Skills and attributes: ability to work well with others, demonstrate empathy, active listening, and maintain accurate medical records. Work environment: involves standing, handling equipment, occasional walking, sitting, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
