IR Technologist: Patient-Centered Interventions

Job Summary and Qualifications Interventional Radiology Technologist Rotating call coverage is required. Interventional Radiology Technologist responsibilities include but are not limited to: Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and performs procedures and care in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures Accurately perform technical radiographic procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and routines Assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure Obtain high-quality radiographic images and review quality of radiographs to ensure quality standards have been met Obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consent Maintain effective communication with patient providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice as well as with caregiver colleagues to include radiologists Responsible for rotating call assignments Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from a 2-year AMA-approved school Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential also considered in conjunction with minimum Interventional Radiology (IR) experience Minimum of 1-3 years licensed experience in Radiology to include at least one (1) year of IR experience Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience a plus BLS required and ACLS required within 6 months of hire Benefits Comprehensive benefits for medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health and telemedicine services Wellbeing support , including free counseling and referral services Time away from work programs for paid time off, paid family leave, long- and short-term disability coverage and leaves of absence Savings and retirement resources , including a 401(k) Plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay (based on years of service), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, flexible spending accounts, preferred banking partnerships, retirement readiness tools, rollover support and financial wellbeing counseling Education support through tuition assistance, student loan assistance, certification support, dependent scholarships and a partnership with Galen College of Nursing Additional benefits for fertility and family building, adoption assistance, life insurance, supplemental health protection plans, auto and home insurance, legal counseling, identity theft protection and consumer discounts We are an equal opportunity employer.
