that is seeking a

Temporary Assistant Controller

to join their team for an

8+ month contract assignment

. This hybrid opportunity offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the accounting and finance functions of a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting leadership experience, a thorough understanding of financial reporting, and the ability to support month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives while partnering with key stakeholders across the business. Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies Assist with audit preparation and coordinate requests from internal and external auditors Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting accuracy and effectiveness Partner with leadership and cross-functional departments to support business objectives Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience in an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar leadership role Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with ERP/accounting systems Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications

CPA designation preferred Experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff Background in process improvement and internal controls Compensation & Benefits
