Job Description As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Jersey City, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.45 / Hour Job Schedule Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel. Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements. Minimum Requirements Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Possession of a guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
