Contract & Claims Manager Location: Portsmouth, NH (Hybrid- 3x week)

About the Role:

We are seeking a sharp, strategic Contract & Claims Manager to lead contract execution, procurement strategies, and risk mitigation for high-value projects at our Portsmouth facility. In this role, you will protect our contractual rights, manage the complete lifecycle of incoming and outgoing claims, and optimize project returns in close collaboration with our Legal, Finance, and Project Control teams.

What You'll Do:

• Contract Execution: Drive project procurement strategies, manage contract extensions, and oversee change orders, delay management, and dispute resolutions.
• Claim Management: Identify, prepare, and negotiate outgoing claims while developing robust defense strategies against incoming claims.
• Supplier & Stakeholder Relations: Manage escalation issues with strategic suppliers, conduct commercial audits, and align with global corporate functions.
• Cost Controls: Partner with the Cost Control Group to manage variations, bank guarantees, cash flow, and back-charges.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in capital project contract management, commercial management, or claims mitigation.
• strong negotiation skills with a deep understanding of legal frameworks, arbitration/ADR, and contract structures.
• Excellent communication skills to align with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

salary: $80.66 - $85.66 per hour

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
Project Procurement Execution Strategy
• Support the definition of the Risk mitigation plan;
• Participate in development of contracting strategies;
• Involve Cost Control Group and ensure the implementation of
cost control system e.g. progress measurement,
remeasurement, bank guarantees, additional items, claims, cash
flow and back-charges;
• Analyse the contract conditions and assist the project
management in the preparation and conduction of the execution
of those contracts;
• Involvement with the review of new tenders and contracts with
Strategic Supplier;
• Support the negotiation of major contracts, subcontracts and
own the final review and document preparation with Strategic
Supplier;
• Ensure relevant Procurement & SGIE process and standards are
followed.
