Key Responsibilities

• Act as a primary advocate for clients, helping them navigate community resources, social services, and support systems to enhance their overall quality of life.
• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention services, effectively assessing and responding to clients’ urgent needs to ensure their safety and emotional stability.
• Document all client interactions accurately and maintain confidential records in compliance with applicable legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses to formulate comprehensive treatment plans that address holistic health goals.
• Educate clients on coping mechanisms, communication skills, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health management.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, building relationships with local organizations to enhance referral networks and increase community awareness of available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will directly impact a varied client population facing emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges. You will engage with individuals from different backgrounds and life experiences, requiring an understanding of culturally sensitive practices. Your skills will be essential in building strong therapeutic relationships and fostering trust.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Connecticut.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related discipline is required; candidates with a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) will be prioritized.
• At least four years of relevant experience within mental health, with a preference for those who have worked in outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication abilities, essential for effective client interactions and collaboration with team members.
• A commitment to upholding ethical standards of practice and confidentiality in all client dealings.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-driven environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient mental health setting is highly preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient information and documentation efficiently.
• Knowledge of community resources and social services available in the Bridgeport area.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and education.
