Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including diagnosing and evaluating the mental health status of patients using recognized tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to create individualized care plans.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to continually assess patient progress, making adjustments to treatment strategies as needed to enhance efficacy and support the mental well-being of patients.
• Prepare detailed treatment records and clinical documentation in line with departmental protocols and regulatory standards, ensuring that all information is accurate and timely.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to develop a tangible and effective treatment plan that addresses individual needs, incorporates feedback, and respects cultural diversity.
• Offer coordination of care by acting as a liaison between patients and other healthcare providers, ensuring seamless integration of services for improved health outcomes.
• Engage in educational activities by mentoring interns and students, providing opportunities for learning and development within the clinical setting.
• Participate in peer reviews and clinical collaborations, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the healthcare team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on supporting individuals and families affected by cancer, addressing the unique psychological challenges that come with such a diagnosis. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
• Experience in clinical settings, particularly related to oncology or chronic illness management, is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in applying evidence-based practices in clinical assessments and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits
