LHH Legal Staffing is working with a respected organization seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to join its team. This is a fully remote opportunity for a highly organized legal professional with a strong background in Florida litigation and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must have prior Florida litigation experience. Individuals located in North or Central Florida are preferred.

Position Overview

The Litigation Assistant will provide comprehensive support to attorneys and legal staff throughout all phases of litigation. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and case-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming legal correspondence, court notices, and electronic service documents.
• Maintain attorney calendars and track litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other important dates.
• Draft, edit, proofread, and electronically file pleadings, motions, discovery materials, correspondence, and other legal documents in state and federal courts.
• Assist with document productions, including Bates stamping, redactions, privilege reviews, and quality control processes.
• Organize and maintain electronic case files and document management systems.
• Support e-discovery initiatives, including document collection, review, and production coordination.
• Ensure compliance with Florida court procedures, filing requirements, and litigation best practices.
• Utilize legal software, e-filing platforms, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and collaboration tools to support daily operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security standards while working remotely.
• Provide additional litigation and administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Litigation Assistant experience.
• Florida litigation experience required.
• Background supporting insurance defense, medical malpractice, or commercial litigation matters strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal court e-filing procedures.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software.
• Online Notary Commission is a plus.
