Property Accountant

Supporting a local property portfolio, the full-time remote Property Accountant will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with deadlines. Key responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions Complete monthly reporting and assist the Accounting Manager in audit processes Required qualifications Minimum of 2+ years of progressive property accounting experience within the commercial real estate industry Demonstrated ability to work with computer applications, including Excel, Word, Yardi, and MRI Experience in third-party management Strong analytical skills for insightful analysis of financial reports Ability to assist with the training and development of new accountants
