Anesthesia Technician, Perioperative Services, Full Time, Days, 10:30-19:00

The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for maintaining anesthesia storage areas, ensuring patient care items are available, and assisting the anesthesiologist and perioperative staff. Responsibilities Assisting the anesthesiologist and perioperative staff with anesthesia related tasks such as difficult intubation, A-line insertion, spinal or epidural blocks. Assuring availability of adequate level of anesthesia supplies and equipment to support patient care needs in each location (Main OR, ASC, Cath. Lab., GI Lab., and L & D). Maintaining the anesthesia storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion for easy access. Required Skills Verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills. Required Experience BLS from American Heart Association. LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only). 1-Year experience as an Anesthesia Tech; Perfusion Assistant or Respiratory Technician. Preferred Anesthesia Tech Certification.
