ACET, Inc.'s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Budget Analyst to join our financial management team supporting the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Patuxent River. In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial execution, ensuring that budget submissions are highly accurate, legally compliant, and aligned with mission goals. You will translate dense financial metrics into actionable insights to optimize funding for critical naval aviation assets.Key ResponsibilitiesExamine and evaluate complex budget estimates for completeness, absolute accuracy, and strict conformance with NAVAIR financial procedures and federal regulations.Analyze comprehensive budgeting and accounting reports to monitor execution trends, tracking execution benchmarks against target metrics.Identify, investigate, and resolve financial discrepancies between internal program tracking sheets and official government accounting systems.Synthesize financial and accounting data to prepare detailed tracking spreadsheets, justification narratives, and financial briefs for program leadership.Qualifications & ExperienceMust possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution (ideally in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline).3 to 10 years of direct experience in budget formulation, financial tracking, or accounting analysis—preferably within a Department of Defense (DoD) or NAVAIR program environment.Proficiency in defense accounting frameworks, advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data manipulation, complex formulas), and strong analytical problem-solving skills.Why Join ACETACET continues to expand its aerospace and aviation sustainment operations supporting multiple Department of Defense aviation platforms worldwide.
