This contract opportunity is ideal for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who thrive in dynamic settings and are eager to support children’s health and wellness throughout the school year.

You’ll work approximately 35 hours per week, providing assistance at two campus sites, less than ten minutes apart. Ideal candidates are comfortable collaborating with school nurses to manage daily health office duties, support student medical needs, and step in as a substitute PCA/1:1 for specific students when required. The ability to adapt to changing district needs and compassion for student well-being are essential.

Qualifications:

• Current, active LPN/LVN license
• Previous experience in a school setting or pediatrics preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to travel between two nearby schools as needed
• Ability to collaborate with nursing staff and school personnel
• Commitment through the school year ending in May 2027

Responsibilities:

• Assist the school nurse in the health office with daily routines and medical tasks
• Provide general medical support for students as directed
• Step in as a substitute for PCA/1:1 support staff when coverage is needed
• Aid the school nurse in caring for diabetic students, including basic support and monitoring
• Respond rapidly to changing needs across both school sites
