Territory Manager-Northbrook

Location: Northbrook, IL | Schedule: Full-time, field-based Overview An established industrial hardware distributor that brings a fully stocked mobile store directly to customers across sectors such as transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, government, and heavy equipment. The company is seeking a Territory Manager to operate a mobile store and build a customer base within a defined geographic territory through direct, in-person sales. What you'll do Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and outreach to businesses near existing customers Make face-to-face calls on both cold and warm sales prospects Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and the mobile store Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and overall functionality of the mobile store Submit complete and accurate daily business reports covering sales orders and prospect calls Maintain accurate customer contact information, including notes, names, phone numbers, and addresses, using company software Required qualifications Must reside within the assigned territory; relocation is not available Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle Must maintain a clean driving history Must have the physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis High school diploma or equivalent Strong, tenured work background with no pattern of job hopping; ideally no more than 3 companies over the past 10 years Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proven history of goal attainment Preferred qualifications Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales Why this role This is an opportunity to run an independent, mobile sales operation serving a wide range of industrial sectors within a dedicated territory, with the autonomy to build and manage your own customer base. #J-18808-Ljbffr Software Placement Group
