Back Employer Engagement Consultant - Sales Role Employer Engagement Consultant - Sales Role Location: Hunts Point, Bronx, NY Employment Type: Temporary Assignment (4 Months) with Strong Potential for Permanent Employment Compensation: $24-$26/hour during temporary period | $50,000-$60,000 annual base salary plus bonus opportunities upon conversion About the Role Our client is seeking an Employer Engagement Consultant to develop strategic relationships with employers and create employment opportunities for workforce program participants throughout New York City. This role serves as a critical connection between employers seeking talent and job seekers pursuing sustainable career opportunities. The successful candidate will combine business development expertise with a commitment to workforce development and community impact. Key Responsibilities Employer Partnership Development Establish and expand relationships with employers across high-growth industries. Identify hiring needs and develop customized workforce solutions. Generate new hiring opportunities through strategic outreach and networking. Conduct in-person meetings, site visits, and employer presentations. Employment Placement Connect qualified program participants with appropriate employment opportunities. Manage candidate referrals and interview coordination. Maintain ongoing communication with employers and job seekers throughout the hiring process. Support successful placements and participant retention efforts. Career Development Support Assist participants with interview preparation and professional development. Provide feedback on resumes and job search strategies. Encourage workplace readiness and long-term employment success. Performance & Reporting Track partnership development activities and placement outcomes. Maintain accurate records within organizational systems. Contribute toward established placement and employer engagement goals. Support continuous improvement efforts across workforce programs. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Experience in sales, recruiting, business development, account management, or employer relations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Bachelor's degree. Workforce development, staffing, nonprofit, or recruiting experience. Experience utilizing Salesforce, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. Demonstrated success building and maintaining business relationships.
