About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Fund Accounting to lead and oversee the financial operations of its private equity portfolios. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, managing financial reporting processes, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance workflows and systems. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to optimize operational efficiency, as well as providing strategic leadership in improving accounting systems and processes. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Fund Accounting include reviewing fund governing documents, validating financial calculations, monitoring investment transactions, and overseeing fund cash management. The role also requires leading annual audit processes, driving operational improvements, and providing oversight of third-party administrators. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a preference for CPA/CA certification, and a minimum of 7 years' experience in fund accounting, particularly within the private equity sector. Proficiency in U.S. GAAP standards, strong organizational and communication skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset are essential. Experience with GP stakes strategy funds and knowledge of the private equity and hedge fund industries are highly desirable.
