About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President Fund Controller for Real Estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial operations of real estate investment funds, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in reporting and investor relations. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support various financial activities, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing arrangements. The VP Fund Controller will also supervise external auditors, tax preparers, and fund administrators to maintain regulatory standards and best practices. Key responsibilities for the VP Fund Controller include overseeing daily accounting and financial tasks for the investment vehicles, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and managing treasury operations. The role requires a professional with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a preference for CPA certification, and 8-12 years of experience, ideally with a background that includes both Big 4 accounting and private sector exposure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced financial reporting tools is essential, and experience in real estate debt or general debt strategies is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
