Position Summary
The Laundry Aide is responsible for the proper cleaning, drying, folding, and distribution of resident clothing and facility linens. This role ensures that all laundry is handled according to facility standards, infection control guidelines, and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized laundry area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and transport soiled linens and resident clothing from designated areas.

• Operate commercial washers and dryers according to manufacturer and facility guidelines.

• Wash, dry, fold, and organize resident clothing, bed linens, towels, and other facility laundry.

• Label and track resident clothing to ensure items are returned to the correct resident.

• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms and designated facility areas.

• Inspect laundry items for damage or stains and report issues as necessary.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and equipment.

• Follow infection control procedures when handling soiled laundry.

• Use proper chemicals and detergents safely and according to instructions.

• Assist with maintaining adequate linen supplies throughout the facility.

• Follow all safety policies and report equipment malfunctions or hazards promptly.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
