Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) - Miami, FL North

Primary Responsibilities Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory. Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities. Analyze local market and develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory. Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement. Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (e.g., budgets, time) in the territory. Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences. Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels. Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed. Manage travel and promotional budget. Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems. Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and Vanda policies. Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments. Additional ad-hoc projects as needed. Education & Experience / Qualifications BS/BA with GPA > 3.0. Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience (preferred); may be considered for “Associate” if not met. Preferred: atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience; specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management; reimbursement experience. Preferred relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory. Valid driver’s license; clean driving history. Self-starter; goal/results driven; “hunter” mentality. Ability to travel (may include overnights) and occasional out-of-territory travel; must reside within territory geography. Manage multiple priorities independently; adjust to roadblocks. Computer proficient; operate vehicle as required; may lift/move up to 15 pounds occasionally.
