Wireless Technician

Wireless TechnicianAs a Wireless Technician, you will inspect, refurbish, test, program, tune, troubleshoot and repair complex radio frequency electro-mechanical devices such as mobile phones. You will work from complex schematics and diagrams, and utilize Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Communication Test Sets to troubleshoot faults to the component level.Additionally, you will work independently at your station but will also have the opportunity to work in a friendly, team-oriented environment. This is a production environment with productivity requirements and quality standards. We invite you to apply, and qualified candidates will be contacted as roles become available.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Conduct root case failure analysis and troubleshooting on suspected defective equipmentPerform repetitive electromechanical assembly using hand and electric toolsMust be able to perform component level and board repairsIdentify and report root cause deficienciesIdentify and report routine process deficienciesTest, repair and program equipmentPerform soldering and de-soldering using handheld soldering equipmentWork with care and urgency in order to meet production goalsParticipate in continuous improvement and team building activitiesRefer to and follow Standard Operating Procedures to perform the job dutiesPhysically move material as neededPerform other duties as assignedWhat are the requirements needed for this position?High school diploma or GEDTwo years skill-related experience such as working with components, testing requirements and/or assembly of small electronicsDemonstrated high-level proficiency with soldering and de-solderingBasic computer skills and the ability to enter data on multiple screensStrong attention to detailAbility to handle multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnelWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Associates degree in electronics or technical degree in a related fieldOne year of previous experience working in a manufacturing environmentKnowledgeable in analog, digital and RF disciplinesWhat are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 poundsMust be able to work overtime and on Saturdays as neededSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focusMust be able to talk and hearRequired to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
