About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead and expand its philanthropic efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing donor relationships, growing philanthropic support, and advancing mission-driven giving to sustain behavioral health services for children, youth, and families. This role involves overseeing major gifts, foundation relationships, donor engagement, marketing, and communications, and is pivotal in the organization's goal to increase annual philanthropic revenue. The Vice President will also be tasked with developing and executing strategies for major gifts, foundation support, event revenue, and planned giving, while strengthening the development function to support long-term growth. Candidates for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 7 years of progressive leadership in nonprofit fundraising. The role requires a proven track record in securing and closing five- and six-figure gifts, as well as experience in donor cultivation, pipeline management, and marketing/communications. The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory and team leadership skills, exceptional organizational and project management abilities, and a deep commitment to the mission of the organization. A collaborative leadership style, the ability to work cross-functionally, and a strong focus on metrics-driven practices are essential. The Vice President will also be expected to have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to build and sustain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
