Regional Dry Van Company Driver W2 - Jamaica, NY
Are you a CDL-A driver in search of an OTR opportunity that guarantees weekly home time with minimal physical demands? At American Trucking Group, we provide dry van routes throughout the Northeast with excellent equipment and competitive compensation.
Home Time:
- Home every week for a 34-hour reset. Our OTR routes are designed to provide steady miles while ensuring you maintain family commitments.
Equipment:
- Drive late-model International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth trucks equipped with 1,500-watt inverters and Opti-Idle systems for comfort. You can take your assigned truck home if safe parking is available.
No Touch Freight:
- Primarily handling dry van freight, 95% of which is no-touch, with 85% drop and hook operations. This means minimal physical work, allowing you to focus on driving and maximizing efficiency.
Pay and Miles:
- Drivers typically earn around $1,150 per week based on mileage and performance. Additional compensation includes detention pay according to customer policy, $12 per hour layover pay after the first hour, and an annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for accident-free driving.
Running Area:
- Routes cover Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. All tolls are covered through EZ Pass and toll cards.

- Medical, dental, and vision insurance begins the first of the month after 60 days of employment. Enjoy $20,000 in company-paid life insurance, vacation pay, and a 401(k) plan with a 50% company match up to 3%. A passenger policy is available after 30 days with age restrictions.
