Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a skilled Physical Therapist, working part-time with middle and high school students. This rewarding contract opportunity is based near Burlington, IL, and is ideal for professionals seeking flexibility and the chance to contribute meaningfully within the educational setting.

You’ll dedicate just one day each week to helping students reach their physical potential and participate fully in their educational experience, working collaboratively with teachers and staff throughout the full school year through May 27, 2027.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• Prior experience with school-aged children, particularly those in middle and high school
• Understanding of school-based physical therapy practices and IEP processes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and adjust therapy plans as needed
• Commitment to fostering student independence and function within the school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assessments and develop individualized physical therapy plans for assigned students
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Support students in improving mobility, strength, and functional abilities in alignment with educational goals
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
• Attend meetings as required to support student educational plans
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy interventions as students’ needs evolve
