Shift & Schedule: Day Shift
Monday – Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Monday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Tuesday: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate: $22 – $24/hr

Note: This job doesn't offer any benefits.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support front-office and back-office clinical operations, provide patient care support, and assist with occupational health services.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in addition to an externship.
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience required.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
Front-office and back-office experience.
EKG and point-of-care (POC) testing experience.
BLS or CPR required; candidates without certification may start pending approval.
Strong patient communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Comfortable working with adults, spouses, and children.
Occupational health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Support front-office and back-office clinical operations.
Greet and room patients.
Obtain and document patient vital signs.
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture.
Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
Administer vaccines within scope of practice.
Schedule appointments and answer phones.
Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR.
Support pre-employment physicals and occupational health services.
Assist with dispensary-related clinical support.
Provide clinical support to the MOA and clinic team.
Maintain a collaborative and professional relationship with patients and staff.
Support health education, outreach, and population-health initiatives.
Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures.
