Lees Summit, MO | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Starting at $18/hour Aspen Contracting is growing and adding to our accounting team. We are looking for a detail‑driven, reliable Bookkeeper who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and follow‑through. This role supports day‑to‑day financial operations and requires someone who can manage numbers, stay organized, and maintain consistency in a fast‑paced environment. What You’ll Do Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate records Process accounts receivable and payable Review and verify entries across customer, vendor, and general ledgers Perform internal checks to ensure accuracy in financial data Maintain organized financial documentation and reporting Support deposits, invoicing, and general accounting functions What We’re Looking For Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles , including accounts payable and receivable Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage financial figures and records accurately Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and accounting/software systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize financial data into a usable format Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships Ability to handle pressure and maintain performance during high‑volume periods Work Environment This is a fast‑paced team where accuracy matters.
