Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Day Shift | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 (up to 5:1 when stretched)
• Perform neurological and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace management
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions and monitor patients using IV pumps, patient lifts, and Skylift equipment
• Document all patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience in neuro and trauma care
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Compliance with navy blue scrub dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong background in neurological and trauma patient populations
• Experience working in a stepdown or progressive care environment
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
