Content and Operations Specialist

The Dean’s Office Communications team at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) seeks a Content and Operations Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and execution of communications, editorial operations, and content production initiatives across the school. This role will work closely with the team to help manage editorial workflows, storytelling initiatives, multimedia production, and institutional communications projects that elevate the GSB’s visibility, reputation, and thought leadership.The Content and Operations Specialist will play a key operational role in supporting cross-platform storytelling efforts, including web, podcast, and social content, newsletters, multimedia projects, faculty visibility initiatives, rankings-related communications, and institutional announcements. The role requires strong organizational and project management skills, excellent writing, proofreading, and editing abilities, exceptional attention to detail. This role is perfect for a systems thinker with the ability to create workflows to improve team coordination, visibility and efficiency. This individual also has the desire to build strong relationships across teams to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including faculty, students, alumni, communications teams, vendors, and senior leaders.This role will have the opportunity to help shape and support high-impact storytelling and communications initiatives for one of the world’s leading business schools. This team contributes to projects that highlight groundbreaking faculty research, student and alumni impact, institutional priorities, and thought leadership while helping strengthen the operational systems and processes that support effective communications across the GSB.Duties unique to the role:Tool Management: Maintains project status, content tracking, schedules, deliverables, communications activities, and performance metrics in Airtable to support cross-functional coordination, reporting, and strategic planning.Process Management: Monitors and maintains editorial processes, documentation, and communications workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across projects.Project Management: Coordinates calendars, timelines, approvals, and distribution activities to support strategic communications priorities, including editorial operations, publishing workflows, and content production across digital, print, multimedia, and institutional channels.Stakeholder Management: Coordinates communications projects involving faculty, centers and institutes, leadership teams, vendors, freelancers, photographers, videographers, and communications partners; supports audience engagement initiatives across web, newsletters, multimedia platforms, and social channels.Finance & Vendor Management: Manages financial operations, vendor creations, including invoice processing, receipts, reimbursements, and payment tracking.Core Duties:Participate in development of communication deliverables in an area of expertise for a program.Develop communications of moderate complexity for various content delivery channels.Produce materials according to defined requirements using software applications and mediums.Work with vendors to obtain information to evaluate quality, process, and costs to support vendor selection.Maintain knowledge by attending webinars, conferences, networking etc. to remain at the forefront of current industry standards, trends and technology.May compile data, illustrations, photos, and pictures for assignments.Work in collaboration with Institutional Communicators on media relations content and other areas.Minimum Educationand ExperienceBachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with internal communications groups across campus.Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.Capacity to synthesize materials and communicate information in a manner easily understood.Experience with managing projects to specifications and to meet expected deadlines.Ability to perform detailed work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Full timePosting Date: 2026-08-06
