Trades Worker II - Plumber

Job Description Summary Oversee all commercial plumbing and gas line projects, repairs and preventative maintenance for entire campus. Write Scope of Work (SOW) details for bidding purposes on projects too large for the in-house employee to complete. Oversee contractors and sign off on payments and completion documents. Determine long‑term plumbing maintenance needs for ULV. Provide reports and recommendations to the supervisor and Director of Facilities Management. Responsibilities Oversee all commercial plumbing and gas line projects, repairs, and preventative maintenance across campus. Write Scope of Work (SOW) details for bidding of large projects. Oversee contractors and sign off on payments and completion documents. Determine long‑term plumbing maintenance needs for ULV. Provide reports and recommendations to the supervisor and director of Facilities Management. Minimum Qualifications Basic plumbing skills. Knowledge and ability to operate a gas fume sniffer. Minimum seven years of plumbing repair or construction experience. Preferred Qualifications Journeyman level plumbing skills. Degree in construction or management field (e.g., Maintenance Administration, Construction Management, Construction Project Management) or eight years of related work in lieu of a degree.
