Physiopedia | Independent contract | Remote but overlap with European working hours Physiopedia is changing the way healthcare professionals learn, and this is an exciting time to join us. We are one of the world's leading physiotherapy education platforms. Physiopedia is the world's largest free resource for physiotherapy knowledge: in 2025, 30 million people in all countries used it. Physiopedia Plus, our professional learning platform, has more than 250,000 members, over 800 accredited courses and partnerships with more than 200 healthcare organisations. In May 2026 we became the first CPD provider approved by World Physiotherapy. We are also at the forefront of AI in healthcare education. More than 20,000 professionals have already had over 100,000 conversations with the Physiopedia AI Assistant (PAI), and we are building AI-enhanced clinical simulations and personalised learning into everything we do. That gives us a lot to say, and an audience that wants to hear it. We are looking for someone to join our in-house marketing and help us tell that story. Profits from Physiopedia Plus support the Physiopedia charity, which provides free access in low-income and conflict-affected countries and discounted access for students and professionals in middle-income countries. The audience you grow helps fund that work. The role You will start by owning Physiopedia's social media, from idea to published post. You will plan, create and publish content across all our channels, look after our online community, and work closely with our Communications Director to make sure everything we put out is consistent, credible and worth a clinician's time. Social media is where the role starts, not where it ends. Over time, we expect the role to grow into campaigns, sales support and paid advertising, shaped by what you are good at and where we see results. Our audience is physiotherapists, rehabilitation professionals, clinic owners, students and educators worldwide. They are busy, sceptical of hype and quick to spot content that wasn't made with them in mind. We want someone who understands that, and who can make clinical education, product news and AI innovation feel relevant and human. You will create your own images and short-form video, and we expect you to use AI tools to work faster and smarter. What you will do Create content Produce posts, images, graphics and short-form video for each platform we use, currently LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube Turn courses, Physiopedia articles, PAI updates and team news into content that suits each platform and audience Use AI tools to speed up ideation, design, editing and scheduling, while keeping quality and accuracy high Publish and manage channels Plan and maintain the content calendar with the Communications Director Schedule and publish all social media posts Manage messages and comments: answer what you can, route clinical, customer support and sales enquiries to the right person, and flag anything sensitive quickly Work with the team Support the Communications Director on wider communications campaigns, launches and announcements Stay connected with the education, sales and product teams so you know what is happening and can share it at the right time and in the right way Report on performance and use the numbers to decide what to do more of, and what to stop Where the role can grow Campaigns: planning and running multi-channel campaigns for course launches, PAI features, conferences and awareness days Sales support: case studies, one-pagers and content that helps our sales team win healthcare organisations Paid advertising: planning, running and optimising paid campaigns on social and search What we are looking for Essential Proven experience running social media channels for a brand or organisation, with a portfolio to show for it Strong design and video skills: you can create polished, on-brand images and short-form video yourself Confident, practical use of AI tools for content creation and workflow Excellent written English, with a clear, natural tone Good judgement about what to post, what to answer and what to escalate Organised and self-directing: we are a small, distributed team and you will manage your own workload Reliable internet connection and your own equipment and software Desirable Experience in any of the growth areas above, especially paid advertising Experience in healthcare, education, SaaS or membership organisations An interest in healthcare, rehabilitation or professional learning Experience working with a global, multilingual audience Practical details Location: Fully remote, anywhere in the world, with regular overlap with UK/European working hours Hours: Flexible; you organise your own working time around agreed deliverables Terms: Independent contractor agreement Rate: Negotiable and dependent on experience Works with: Communications Director Closing date: 31 October 2026 To apply Send your CV, a short cover letter and links to social channels or content you have created to by 31 October 2026.
