Job Title: Controls Engineer



Location: Libertyville, IL

Job Description:

• Support controls design, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting of automated medical device manufacturing equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, HMI, VFDs, and servo systems .
• Work with RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Logix Designer, FactoryTalk SE, Ignition, and Cognex .
• Troubleshoot SCADA, machine networks, motion control, instrumentation, and vision systems.
• Support FAT/SAT, equipment validation, commissioning, and continuous improvement.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, yield, and productivity.
• Support maintenance teams with controls troubleshooting and technical training.
• Manage controls software, firmware, change controls, and risk assessments.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 7+ years of controls/manufacturing experience; Allen-Bradley ControlLogix; Studio 5000; FactoryTalk; Ignition; Cognex; PowerFlex; Kinetix; industrial Ethernet; DeviceNet/PROFINET; PID; RFID; vision systems.

Preferred: Medical device manufacturing experience and Beckhoff or B&R/ABB PLC experience.
