Pharmacy Business Manager

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Pharmacy Business Manager to join our Pharmacy team in Orlando, Florida. The Pharmacy Business Manager will partner with and provide direct support to the Director of Pharmacy Operations and Support Services to develop and maintain strategic, operating and financial plans to accomplish the Enterprise Mission and departmental financial goals. The role involves planning, evaluating, coordinating, administering, implementing and reviewing all pharmacy financial activities, including the preparation of expense and capital budgets, financial reports and statistics, financial benchmark analysis, and overseeing management of supply expenses. The Business Manager manages daily financial business issues, maintains the pharmacy charge master and charge capture, identifies cost‑saving opportunities, and supports implementation of efficient business operations. Responsibilities Manage and ensure compliance with the 340B drug discount program, developing policy and procedures related to the program. Perform self‑audits and external audits, oversee maintenance of split billing software and 340B drug purchasing and inventory processes. Assist in coordinating the development, implementation, and evaluation of new contract pharmacy businesses. Identify and investigate growth opportunities for the 340B program, including potential expansion efforts and relationship ventures. Facilitate 340B Committee meetings. Oversee daily financial business for the department, including interdepartmental billing, charging, and invoice processing for accounts payable and receivable for inpatient, outpatient, and investigational pharmacies. Collaborate with leadership to develop and monitor operational and capital budgets, including revenue, expenses, and operating margins, and prepare executive summaries for hospital administration. Develop and maintain business processes related to revenue and expenses, preparing analyses for revenue enhancement and expense control. Maintain departmental compliance with policies and procedures regarding expense reimbursements and payment processes such as travel, dues, and subscriptions. Prepare cost analysis for specific programs, procedures, or activities, and assist in analysis for new pharmacy business ventures. Review, coordinate, and prepare detailed financial data reports supporting department performance, working with Pharmacy Managers to resolve financial issues and review contracts. Serve as a Pharmacy educator and resource for department members and other hospital staff on business processes, financial systems, and pertinent policies related to the Pharmacy department and the 340B program. Analyze and interpret financial data, make recommendations on cost‑saving opportunities, and participate in cost containment initiatives. Work with Legal and Contracts to establish, maintain, and annually review contracts for compliance. Serve as point person for the development of a uniform pharmacy charge master for NCH and participate in the development of the NCH pharmacy system related to the revenue cycle. Maintain timely and accurate updates to the Pharmacy Charge Master for medications, including new medications and pricing changes. Act as an integral member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team. Job Requirements Master's Degree or higher. Minimum of three to five years of experience. Business management experience in a similar position and/or proven track record of success with similar job functions. Working knowledge of billing, budget preparation, and fiscal management. Experience managing the 340B Program. Advanced knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
