Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse. As an Occupational Health Nurse you will be an integral part of the Occupational Health department supporting employee health and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to workplace health management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $42./hr.

Shift: Monday-Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm

What's the Job?

• Manage primary and secondary work-related and personal disability cases for a multi-shift manufacturing plant.
• Serve as a liaison for clients regarding job-related accommodations, job placement, and fitness for duty decisions.
• Coordinate and ensure quality assurance of health surveillance and health risk reduction programs mandated by federal and state regulations.
• Develop and deliver health promotion, wellness programs, and in-service training to support employee well-being and career development.
• Conduct workplace assessments, identify hazards, and recommend modifications to promote a safe and healthy environment.

What's Needed?

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in occupational and environmental health nursing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical record keeping, OSHA standards, and federal regulations such as HIPAA and FMLA.
• Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and handle multiple interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in case management, laboratory equipment operation, and computer skills.
