Additional tasks include cataloging collection and database expansion papers and participating in other department projects, as necessary. Essential Functions On a daily production basis: Determine and confirm correct author name presentation for bibliographic entries including break author names, mark casing, and correct titles as needed based on determination of publisher intent. Verification process of Second Check Cataloging and metadata created by author. Search in-house dictionary of institutional addresses and assign an institution code to each author; mark paper for additional work if institutional affiliation requires addition to the dictionary. Verify catalog paging, language(s), and standard terminologies, add additional information such as editors, contributors, editions, translations, bibliographies, and obituaries. Research and provide information for editorial evaluation related to reprints, editions, and previous parts of papers. Make decisions regarding author names, including sending and processing author correspondence, as necessary. Participate in discussions, problem solving, and continuous improvement of department procedures. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment; attend and contribute to departmental meetings. Perform similar or related duties as requested or assigned Travel 5% Internal and External Relationships Cooperation with other departments on processing procedures and problems.
