We are seeking a Sous Chef who is passionate about culinary excellence, team development, and operational leadership. This role is responsible for supporting kitchen operations, developing team members, maintaining quality standards, and helping create exceptional guest experiences.

Position Overview
The Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in the daily operation of the kitchen. This position is responsible for coaching and developing culinary team members while ensuring all food is prepared and presented according to established standards.
Guest Experience
- Ensure all food meets quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Support smooth and efficient daily kitchen operations.
- Lead by example during service, maintaining urgency, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Partner with front-of-house leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Team Leadership
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing kitchen culture.
- Train, coach, and develop culinary team members.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Create schedules that balance business needs and team well-being.
- Provide ongoing feedback, recognition, and development opportunities.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
Operational Leadership
- Ensure consistent execution of culinary and operational standards.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, food cost controls, and labor management.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
- Conduct line checks and quality assurance procedures.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance needs.
- Support special events, catering, and promotional initiatives as needed.
- Help drive operational goals and performance metrics.

Qualifications
- 13 years of culinary leadership or management experience
- Culinary degree preferred but not required
- Strong culinary skills and kitchen knowledge
- Experience coaching and developing hourly team members
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong sense of urgency throughout shifts
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures
