Schedule: Mon-Fri (8 hrs/day, 1st shift)Project ScopeThis assignment supports safety oversight for drywall, framing, lath and plaster, and fireproofing activities on a large-scale hospital expansion, including:Daily inspections and monitoring of contractor activitiesOversight of drywall and framing crews in high-paced environmentsConducting toolbox talks, orientations, and safety trainingHazard identification, corrective action tracking, and compliance reportingCoordination with GC, subcontractors, and site teams to maintain a strong safety cultureResponsibilities include:Conducting daily safety walks, audits, and hazard recognitionLeading safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee orientationsActing as a visible safety leader in the field, not just administrative supportManaging safety documentation, incident investigations, and reportsCoaching and motivating workers, ensuring a proactive approach to safetyQualifications ✅ Drywall/framing experience (most important requirement)✅ BCSP (STS-C or Higher), OSHA 30, and 5+ years of experience✅ Construction safety management background✅ Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse workforce✅ Physically capable of navigating a large project site✅ Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, not requiredKnowledge BaseStrong working knowledge of:Drywall, framing, and fireproofing construction safetyOSHA standards, compliance strategies, and safety documentationToolbox talks, orientations, and safety training methodsHazard recognition, job hazard analysis, and incident investigationEqual OpportunitySheakley is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
