Desktop Technician Location: Lowell, MA Duration: 2–3 Month Contract Compensation: $25–$30/hour We’re partnering with a client seeking an experienced Desktop Technician to assist with a large‑scale technology deployment project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of hands‑on desktop support and helpdesk troubleshooting in a fast‑paced environment. Approximately 65% of the role will involve deployments, including imaging, configuring, and setting up new workstations and hardware. The remaining 35% will focus on providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 help‑desk support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and end‑user issues while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Image, deploy, configure, and install desktops, laptops, and peripherals across multiple locations. Perform workstation refreshes, hardware replacements, and user setup. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for end users. Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues. Document support requests and resolutions. Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting users in person and remotely. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Qualifications Previous experience supporting large‑scale deployment and imaging projects is required. Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop/help‑desk support. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, and peripheral devices. Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Reliable, professional, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Outstanding communication and customer‑service skills.
